Carla Cackowski

Originally from Kentucky, Carla Cackowski is a screenwriter and improviser who has collected apartment leases from Ft. Lauderdale, Chicago and Portland before settling down in Los Angeles. Carla has written for kids TV shows distributed by DreamWorks Television, PBS Kids, and Nickelodeon and was a semi-finalist for NBC’s Writers On the Verge in 2019. Her one-act satirical play HELL COUNTY, FLORIDA was produced by The Second City Hollywood as part of their premium show series and her comedic monologues have been published by Applause Theatre & Cinema Books. She has written for comedy podcasts on Wondery Media and Forever Dog Network and is currently in development on an animated series with a production company that she can’t talk about because she signed something that says, “don’t talk about it.” Carla works hard and naps harder. She never took the SAT or ACT and has no regrets about it!
