San Francisco Improv Festival                                                                                             Relationship Dynamic

Looking at your scene partner and deciding right away that they’re the most important person in your character’s life is a great place to start from when thinking about "relationship" in improvisation. The challenge is to avoid talking about what you’re doing and instead focus on how you’re feeling to sustain a strong relationship onstage. This workshop will help you make quick, specific choices about how well you know the other person so the audience understands why these characters are together. We’ll explore different “types” of relationships we've often seen in improv and discover new options to explore these characters in a dynamic way.
